About Me

_MA_8876 (1).jpg

My name is Yasmin Gal. I qualified as a special needs teacher in 2004 and specialised in working with children and young people with special needs. In 2010 I also qualified as a dance-movement psychotherapist with a Masters from Goldsmiths, University of London and I am a registered member of the Association of Dance Movement Psychotherapy (ADMP UK), and working towards UKCP registration and becoming a supervisor.

Throughout my career, I have gained significant experience in working with children and young people of all ages, focusing extensively with children with learning and physical disabilities. In addition, I have specialised in working with children and young people who are adjusting to relocating from one country to another. My clinical experience with adults includes individual and group therapy with older adults with Dementia in the NHS.

This work contributed to consolidating my approach to therapy, which is holistic, non-judgemental and respectful toward my clients and their families. I emphasise attachment and play theories and use an integrative approach. In the sessions, I combine movement, play, music and other creative and expressive arts to best support the therapeutic process.

I provide therapy both in English and in Hebrew.
